Food was delicious, we got a club melt and fries and chicken fingers basket, appetizer was garlic knots type rolls, very good, our server was very friendly, got food quickly, sat on bar side, enjoyed the atmosphere, were there Sunday 5/18/25 around 830pm
So, this past Sunday, 15 June 2025, I was making my way east along U.S. 224, when I got hungry. Not wanting to stop at a chain restaurant, I wanted something local. I found one place in town, but I decided against it as it wasn’t something that I was looking for (a burger and a beer). As I was just leaving town, I came across Willard Varsity Club. WOW! Was I ever happy that I stopped, this was the place I was looking for! I ordered the Texas Rodeo Burger, cooked medium-rare, order of fries, and a PBR. Fantastic! The burger was cooked perfectly! Even had a second PBR! Great staff, great service, fantastic food! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed some wings and took in the atmosphere in a place I haven't been in since I was a kid. Cameo Pizza (Sweet Heat pictured) was recommended by a buddy and did not disappoint! I ordered it to go and it was piping hot and delicious when I got home. Wish I had known that was in Varsity Club earlier!

Yesterday I had a great experience going to the Varsity Club for the first time! Devin took super care of me. He was helpful, informative, funny and welcoming. Thank you Devin and the gal that was working. The place was clean, the food was fantastic and the whole place was filled with people enjoy the Varsity Club! I will be back!!!¡
I've visited the Varsity Club twice so far, and both experiences have been great! On my first visit, we had the wings — they were absolutely delicious. On the second trip, we tried the pizza, and it was just as impressive. The new owners are clearly putting in a lot of effort to revitalize the place, and it's really paying off. They're doing a fantastic job!
The Firecracker Burger was delicious and the fries were great too. Prices seem reasonable and I'll definitely be back
We ate on a Thursday, which is Burger special. So we both had burgers. I had the Firecracker Burger, and my wife had the All American. They were both very good! Great pub fries and even better service! Would definitely recommend it to friends.
